BIOGRAPHY
Danuta Tydor, born in Warsaw,Poland is a Canadian Visual Artist/Ceramist who graduated from Architectural Technology College, Poland in 1969.
During her 35 years of professional experience in the artistic field, her work has touched many people through her vivid imagination and flair for a unique concept in design and color coordination while working with variety of media.
Her life has been shaped by the creative forces in her nature and versatility with which she adopts to the wide range of media is reflected trough her work. Danuta has experimented and gained recognition through her work in hand weaving large scale tapestries, designing exclusive line of women's fashions, as well as illustrating and painting with acrylic and watercolor medium.
In 1997 she joined her husband and fellow artist, Vlodek Tydor in forming a new Company called Active Clay Inc. where she designed and helped produce a line of ontemporary ceramic animals. In 2002, while continuously evolving through her work in the clay medium, she started creating hand-built sculptures, predominantly
in mid firing porcelain. Currently she is working on one of a kind uniquely handcrafted ceramic shoe sculptures, which have became and instant hit with the public.
Her shoes possess individual appeal and elegance and on occasion hold a hint of humor with an element of surprise. For Danuta the pleasure of creation and sharing this enjoyment with others is her constant motivation enriching her existence and possibly inspiring many others. Through the years she has won numerous awards
for her inventiveness and her pieces can be found in many private, public and corporate Canadian, American and foreign collections.
At present Danuta Tydor and her husband Vlodek Tydor are working full time out of the studio / residence of their home outside of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
